The Ballabio Story

From a very young age, my interest in fashion extended far beyond South Africa, where I grew up. I collected images of celebrities and their outfits from Huisgenoot magazine and watched every episode of Project Runway religiously.

At home, I was constantly inspired by my mother, who sewed, embroidered, and created with her hands. It quickly became clear that I was fascinated by design. One day, with her help, I made my first pair of shorts for summer.

I was so excited that I took them to school to show my friends. To my surprise, they loved them — and immediately placed orders. That moment was the beginning of Ballabio.
